FAQ

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN ORIGINAL PRINT AND A DIGITAL PRINT?

An original print is made by hand with ink and plates and rollers and mess and usually the odd mistake. Each one will have subtle differences from all the others in that edition. Digital prints are made from a high resolution scan of an original print and reproduced with and eco tank printer.

WHAT IS AN EDITION?

Each hand-made printing plate is used to make a limited number of original prints. The nature of collagraph printing is such that only a few prints, around 10, can be made before the plate becomes unusable. Each print will be numbered accaordingly eg; #1/10. Digital editions will be limited to 100 and numbered accordingly.

WHAT ABOUT POST AND PACKAGING?

All post and packaging costs are included unless clearly stated. Wherever possible I’ll go plastic free. If I’m sending a framed item however, this might not be possible.

DO YOU DO FRAMING?

All art is sold unframed unless otherwise stated. If you would like to have you piece framed however this can easily be arranged. George the Framer is in the adjoining studio and comes highly recommended!
